On monday November 2nd 2020, Allison and her wife Jennifer were notified of Momma'a diagnosis of alzheimers and the onset of dementia with a prognosis of 6 to 8 months left of life.
On wednesday November 4th 2020, mommas care turned to "comfort care" with hospice in home.
The cover picture was taken on November 8th 2020, when momma was having a good day.
The following monday, November 9th 2020, mommas care was changed to end of life care.
Momma passed quietly and peacefully on November 30, 2020.
What everyone thought was going to take months to happen, took 28 days.
28 days from cognitively functioning at a reduced level to no longer having momma with us.
The loss of momma came before anyone could proverbially catch their breath, or appropriately prepare for today.
Jennifer is on furlough until January and the expense of state fees, certifications for cremation, the crematorium and urn as well as processing momma are simply just out of reach.
Momma is survived by:
her son Robert 'Danny' Hoggart, his wife and children.
Her daughter Allison Acker, her wife Jennifer Acker, Allison's daughter and grandson and Jennifer's son.
As well as other family members and friends who loved and care for her very much.
I am asking anyone that can, to please help pay for these final expenses of a woman who was loved by many.
There simply was not enough time to prepare for this event.
The family has asked that no flowers or plants be sent, but if you wish to send condolences directly you may do so to:
