Help with expenses for the funeral of Ken Blew

Donation protected

This page for my Aunt Karla and cousins Jonathan & Joshua Blew. My Uncle Ken and his family have always been caring, loving and truly faithful people who would help anyone in need with whatever they could. Now I am asking for your generosity in their time of need.  Anything that you are inspired or called upon to give would be a true blessing in helping with my uncle's burial expenses.

Below is the story of my Uncle through his son's eyes.

The Tuesday before Christmas, my father Kenneth Blew passed away at the age of 63. In the beginning of November, after a year of prayer and planning, my parents took a leap of faith and packed up all of their stuff and moved from California to Texas. Where they had hoped they could stretch their incomes further, as well as to be near to my brother and I.

There were setbacks throughout the move, but ultimately they finally received the green light to move into their new apartment. However, before they could start unpacking, he went into cardiac arrest. After the doctors worked on him overnight, they told us that he had been without oxygen for 45 minutes. After several days of testing, and seeing no brain activity. Six days later we finally decided to take him off of the ventilator, and make him as comfortable as possible. He was pronounced dead an hour later.

My dad had been on dialysis for the past eleven years, the result of hypertension and weight gain. Up until he went on dialysis, he had worked many jobs to provide for his family. Whether it was high school security, or driving delivery trucks, he was always happy to be working and he was even more happy to spend his time away from work, raising his children and investing in his family. He was always putting our needs above his own. On top of all of that, he still found time to serve in ministry, be it teaching Sunday School, or singing in the choir. My whole life, he had loved Jesus. He not only raised my brother and I, he discipled us in Christ. Whenever we struggled in our faith, he always answered our questions to the best of his ability, always going back to Scripture. I could go on and on about all the ways that I am grateful that I can call him my father. Always loving us and our mom with all of his heart.
