Help with Emily's medical care
Donation protected
Emily is our precious one-year-old with the most contagious smile. When Emily was 7 months old she began having unexplainable seizures and at 8 months old she was diagnosed with Hyperinsulinism. Hyperinsulinism is a rare disorder that affects 1 in 50,000. It is the opposite of diabetes. Her pancreas produces too much insulin which causes her blood sugar levels to drop extremely low. Healthy levels should be between 70-100. When we went to the hospital her blood sugar level was at 25. The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia specializes in her disorder and all donations will help us get her up there for further testing. We could be there up to a month depending on test results. We appreciate your support so much and we are hopeful that we can get more answers for our sweet little girl.
