Help with Dana's Cancer Care
Donation protected
Dana was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma in November 2017. She lost her mother to breast cancer & is determined to save her own life.
Dana's cancer has thankfully been caught at Stage 1, but is multifocal, meaning there are multiple tumors. She will undergo a double mastectomy & reconstruction in January 2018, which will consist of 2 surgeries. She will also begin hormone therapy & possibly chemotherapy & radiation, depending on the tests run after surgery. The first surgery will require 4-6 weeks of recovery time, the second 1-2 weeks. Dana has been a stay at home mom for many years & is anxious about caring for her children while undergoing treatment. She has always lived an active, healthy lifestyle & is also exploring alternative treatment methods to complement Western medicine.
Dana has two young children aged 8 & 5. She's been with her husband for over 15 years. There is nothing more important to her than staying by her husband's side & watching her children grow up. She has plans to live until she's over 100 years old & this cancer isn't going to stop her!
Donations will help her family with the burden of medical expenses & other costs associated with treatment such as child care & transportation costs. Thank you so much for reading her story!
