Babies born through Surrogacy; Father dies

Father that has twins through Surrogacy passes away shortly after the birth from an unexpected heart attack. 



Anielo (aka Walter) and Vincenzo are an international couple who came to the Los Angeles area  for the birth of their babies through Surrogacy (one with each of their genetics). The babies entered the world healthy and full of life on January 24, 2020 and thus began the wonderful journey of parenthood for these two amazing men. Unfortunately, before they could return to their home, one of the fathers, Anielo had an unexpected heart attack and passed away in the early hours of February 19, 2020, he was only 42. Anielo and Vincenzo have been together since 2002 and were just getting started in this new chapter of their life. They have been preparing many years for this special family dream to finally come true. Now the harsh reality will set in for Vincenzo that he must do this alone without the help of his loving partner Anielo.  Please help us in supporting Vincenzo with the financial burdens of starting fatherhood alone on top of service and burial arrangements of his loving life partner. 


Currently their Surrogacy agency and Surrogate Mother are trying to support Vincenzo during these difficult times. He will have an enormous expense in transporting the body back to his country along with his twins. 


The following is a letter they wrote to their Surrogate before they met her:


Dear Surrogate,

We are Aniello (aka Walter) and Vincenzo.   

We are both 42 years old. 

We met in June 2002, fell in love and we started to live together in August 2003.

We celebrated our civil partnership in December 2016 (in xxxx we have not gay marriage) since there was not a law in our country for that until May 2016.

Walter is a high school teacher. He mainly teaches Italian literature and Latin.

Vincenzo is a public servant in the local county administration. He is in the HR department. 

We began thinking about having children some years ago and before getting ready to start this journey we took our time to think about us and who we are as a couple. We also wanted to know gay couples with children (they are called here the Rainbow families) to be better informed about the surrogacy process.

After all that, we feel to be ready to start this adventure and to do our best to become good parents.

We are looking for a kind and reliable woman who would be able to help us and share this journey with us.  We hope to get to know you soon.
