Hello my name is Dina, and I am Wendy's sister. My goal is to try and help cover co-pays , deductibles and travel expenses for my sisters Cancer Treatments. Any little bit will help but most importantly she could use your prayers.
As many of you know, Wendy has fought with pancreas problems all of her life.
- At 18 months old she had a major operation that saved her life.
- At 20 years old, weeks after the birth of her daughter, she had a second major operation.
She’s had many hospital stays since with pancreatitis.
Fast forward to her recent episode...
A CT scan in October revealed there was a suspicious mass on her pancreas that required a biopsy. Following several tests, a young
mother’s worst fear had been realized. October 25, 2021, my beautiful sister Wendy was given a diagnosis—Stage 3 Adenocarcinoma Pancreatic Cancer. Her world (and ours) stopped as she took in the news.
This type of Cancer is very painful and aggressive but the good news, there have been no signs of it spreading. Her Doctors immediately started her on three different
aggressive and strong types of chemotherapies.
The tumor is 52mm (about the
size of a baseball) and located at the head of her Pancreas. It is putting pressure on surrounding organs and major blood vessels. She has the best team of Doctors on her case.
The plan is to receive 12 rounds of Chemotherapy in hopes to shrink the tumor so that they can operate and remove it. December 13th she received her third round. Once she has completed all treatments the team of Doctors will then do what is called the Whipple Procedure. This is a major complex operation to remove the tumor, head of the pancreas, part of the small intestine, gallbladder and bile duct.
She travels back and forth to Houston, multiple days a week between chemo, infusions, bloodwork, and endless doctor appointments. Her life has been turned upside down. She is currently unable to work right now due to the side effects she is experiencing with the Chemotherapy. Insurance deductibles and co-insurance expenses are slowly piling up and we want to try and help take that financial burden off of their little family.
Wendy is undeniably a fighter. A 31 year old wife and a mother, facing her cancer battle with unfaltering determination, she has everything to live for.
- Felicity, her first born, is 10 years old - she is caring, tender hearted, sometimes shy, loves to cheer and draw.
- Jayden is her youngest, is 7 years old- he is an outgoing ball of energy and loves football. This boy will take on any challenge and is ready to explore the world in front of him.
This beautiful family needs and deserves more time together without the financial stress
that comes with treatments. Treatments come at a significant physical and emotional cost as it is.

Our GOD is the ultimate healer and I know this is not in His will for her! She will be healed and we will use this journey of hers to spread awareness and strenghthen her testimony to share with the world! She will show everyone once again just how great our GOD is!
