Help Wendy Beat Glioblastoma
Donation protected
Since we found out the chemo stopped working on Wendy's glioblastoma in mid-December we've been on a scary journey to find the next best treatment. After a lot of travel, doctor visits, and discussions we've settled on a small clinical trial running out of Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN (here is a link to the study if you want to know the details).
Wendy will be having a second brain surgery on Tuesday 1/21, followed by a series of vaccinations. We are relocating to Rochester for about 6 weeks. Eventually, Wendy will be traveling back to Rochester every 3 weeks for 8-9 months for continued treatment.
A lot of people have asked how they can support us, and the best way right now is to help us with the cost of frequent travel and lodging so far from home. We found a wonderful place to rent for our extended stay through the Serenity House Network which is $89/night (almost $4k for 6 weeks). Now add food, Lyft to/from hospital, flights, etc. and it all adds up fast.
Being in this position is absolutely unfathomable, and we still struggle to wrap our minds around it. Please know that we feel the love from all of you. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the prayers, donations, and support in all forms.
Love,
Wendy and Stephanie
P.S. If you're not in a position to donate, Stephanie also appreciates good Bachelor memes.
