HELP WAYNE BARRETT SAVE HIS TRADEMARKED OWNED NAME SLAUGHTER AND THE DOGS!
As a lot of people know, Wayne has been fighting TWO legal trademark property cases in the United States and the United Kingdom since February. This has generated a lot of legal bills for us, and with the COVID-19 pandemic, Wayne, who works in the music and concert hall industry, has been out of work since March when the lockdown on all live music began and also has been unable to tour. It looks like the only band shows will be in December, unless that changes in the countries the band is playing
As Mr. Barrett’s manager, I suggested Leeetchi.com but, it was reported as fraudulent by certain individuals. We closed it, but received the amount we were able to raise which was €200 and we thank you greatly.
I brought up trying gofundme.com and Wayne fought and didn’t want to ask for money, but lawyers and solicitors are not cheap. It appears we are winning the United States case but have an outstanding balance with our lawyer who has been kind enough to keep working as we try and make payments. We now have had to hire a solicitor in the United Kingdom for the upcoming trademark trial, with an ex member trying to claim trademark rights t o the naming of the band. Luckily we have the written and video proof to show Mr. Barrett DID name the band and IS the legal trademark owner of the name.
The stress has been immense. The slandering and defamation of myself and Wayne Barrett by certain individuals, sickening, but all fuel for the fire and will be presented at the Intellectual Property Trial in October. We will win but need to pay our solicitor and lawyer.
Times are tough and we all have to make choices. This year has been difficult for all, but thenon-stop legal stress and slandering and defamation has taken its toll in more than just stress and physical forms.
