After a number of unfortunate set-backs, I'm losing my home, as well. I'm a few months away from finishing two novels but can't quite get there as life has thrown a few too many curves my way. To make it, I need to bridge the gap. With several promising irons in the fire (The FRAGMENT show bible making the rounds in Hollywood now as well as other screenplays I have written recently, including one for FRAGMENT) finishing these last novels should finally rebuild a stable foundation. But the publishing world took a heavy toll on me as my publishers inexplicably canceled my contract for a two-book deal, declaring my novel PANDEMONIUM "unpublishable." (The global economic collapse, for which I was not responsible of course, happened to coincide with the publication of my first novel. In addition, the publisher allowed over 200,000 copies of my novel to be downloaded by pirate sites before instituting a policy of stopping the practice - 18 pages of Google search results showed nothing but pirate sites offering my novel for free download before that finally occurred.)

While another publisher, Macmillan, did publish the "unpublishable" sequel to my first novel with NO editing, and the book is more highly rated by readers everywhere than FRAGMENT, the cancellation by my other publishers cost me $750,000 and plunged me into a $150,000 tax debt. My late marriage in life was destroyed shortly after the wedding as a result. I've hung on by a molecule ever since, but that molecule just evaporated.

So, after being a starving writer since I left home at 17, I'm worse off than ever before after decades of hard work. A few months is all I need to keep body and soul together and on track. Moving costs, enough for a roof over my head and an Internet connection are all that I need. The result will be two of my best novels fully completed and an opportunity to land a job while seeking publishing/producing opportunities for them and the screenplays I have already completed.  Please help if you can, and pass along my plea to others if you are a fan of my work.
