I ask you with all my heart for help, not knowing how to hold back tears. Such a great tragedy fell on our family... My beloved dad, always smiling, the soul of the company, has just retired. All his life he worked hard as a welder, often left, and now finally there was to be a time of rest. He promised his mother that they would go to the water, to fish, without haste and stress... It was to be their time, awaited and worked out. However, instead of the happy autumn of life, a dramatic fight for life has begun.
In July, I went to my parents on vacation. I immediately noticed that there was something wrong with my dad... Not so long ago he had so much to say to me, he entertained the whole company, such a cheerful man! And now he was just saying, "Yes, daughter..." And nothing more...
Paralyzed by fear, we went straight to the Hospital, thinking it was a stroke. There, after just 45 minutes, a message fell on us, which in a second wiped us off the surface – dad has a brain tumor!
Shock, despair, our hearts broke... Dad stayed in the hospital for tests that only confirmed the tragic diagnosis. However, the operation on the tumor did not take place... They discharged Dad home and told him to wait. So another 3 weeks passed, the worst time of our lives, full of uncertainty and paralyzing fear.
After this time, Dad was again in the ward. They opened their head, took a slice for testing, but the tumor was... We are now at home, waiting. For what? Certainly for the worst... We couldn't leave it like that, we can't leave dad to die.
On the Internet I found a group associating relatives of people suffering from brain tumors. We got leads for the best specialists, we started looking for help on our own. And also at your own expense... At the National Health Fund they will not undertake surgery, and yet it is taking away dad's chance for life
We came to Dr. Libonka, one of the best specialists. Last Friday we got qualified for the operation, which must take place as soon as possible! The doctor is not only able to remove the tumor, but will do it in such a way that the speech and movement center will not be damaged!
After the tumor is excision, Dad is waiting for radiation therapy. If we went to it without surgery, we would lose as much as 90% of the chances of extending Dad's life... That is why it is so important and although the operation is very expensive, we have critically little time, we beg with all our heart for help for Dad.
He is such a good and strong man. I can't imagine that in the life of our family he will be missing and now, when the best was to be yet to come... Fate is cruel, but we can deceive death! Please give my dad a chance to live a longer and happy life. Do not let it go when there is hope.
