Family of 4 to family of 7!

It has been a summer of transformations. As some of you may know, we have recently come upon some life-altering changes. Da'Mon's niece and her friend have found themselves homeless. We couldn't see them on the streets nor in a shelter, thus they are living with us. In addition to this, we have learned that Da'Mon's nine year-old daughter (from a previous partnership) may soon be living with us. This is very exciting but it also is under sad circumstances. Her mother is ill and in need of hospice care. We wish her love and light but must prepare for the next step.

So we are asking for help; something that has been difficult for me to do. However the reality of the situation is that we are struggling to make ends meet. We are reaching out asking for donations that will help us pay off debt so that our monthly salary and wages can keep us afloat from here on out. We apologize for the request and are thankful for the love and support we have been given thus far.

So that you all know we are not sitting idly by hoping that others take care of our problems, please know that Da'Mon works with the school district, Griffin School, Spirit Fitness, runs a camp for kids as well as sells handcrafted training weapons.  I, of course, am working full-time as a bilingual special education teacher and tutoring after school. This is leaving little time and energies for me to focus on my two daughters (3 and 12 years of age) who deserve a happy, healthy home. So the sooner we can get to a stable state of living the better for all. Again it pains me to reach out but I must try on behalf of our daughters. To those of you who donate, we truly thank you!.

P.S. If a guy can raise $40,000 for potato salad (look it up), I figure I can raise enough to keep me from selling my house and moving to San Antonio...right?
