Update: Unfortunately due to a car breakdown and other financial troubles since November, I won't be able to move. However, I will be getting a roommate and I'll be able to making a savings fund for when I am able to move away. Thank you for all the contributions. 

 

 

Hello there!

 

I could use some help with moving from Orlando, FL to Reno, NV to get away from a place that I no longer consider my home and be closer to my sister, niece, and my work. Any help that I receive will be used for the moving of my belongings, payment for my new home, a moving truck, and for gas since I will drive with my cats. Any and all help is appreciated.

 

I know in the long run this may not do much, but it's worth a shot! I'd like to try and get all the funds gathered to move by the time my lease ends in April 2022. The cost of this GFM will raise money for everything I need.

 

A short background story:

When I was 14 and I lived in Oregon with my maternal family, I came out as trans and bisexual while I lived with my grandparents. My (late) mother wanted me away from my homophobic family and in with her, although she didn't fully accept it either, but I refused. Her boyfriend at the time was very abusive and I didn't want to be around it.

Fast forward to a few months later, I believed I would be visiting family down here in Florida only to find out, in the security line of the airport, that I was actually being forced to move in with the paternal side of my family. I wasn't told any of this was happening until it was already too late. I had just turned 15 at the time and believed I had no control over the situation. Which I know better now.

I lived with a family who doesn't accept me and forced my detransition until I was 18 (nearly 19) and was kicked out a month after my discharge from the psychiatric hospital in 2017. My reason for being admitted was a suicide attempt only a few months after I'd lost my mother to suicide as well.

I've been out of the house for a few years now and have tried to have a healthy relationship with my family down here, but I haven't succeeded. I'm not accepted or respected and I've tried all my life.

 

I want to move out of this state and back to the west coast to be near my sister and niece who accept me. I will be closer to her in Oregon as well as being somewhat near my work in California while still being able to take care of myself.
