I am raising funds for my kiddo, Violet, and her father, Brian, who lost their home and everything in it in the Eaton Fire. Their home was more than just a place to live—it was where we raised Violet from 1 year old, with a backyard filled with a swing set and picnic bench built by Brian with love.

In this home, Brian built and maintained a letterpress studio full of antique type and presses; a woodworking studio where he made custom solid-walnut furniture and art frames; camera equipment from vintage Hasselblads to contemporary digital SLRs. This home was also adorned with musical instruments and artwork to complement the creative life created for his kiddo. While material, these outward expressions embody the creativity, beauty, and spirit of our beloved Altadena. The loss is so much more than anyone can imagine or even touch. All of the Altadena community is reeling with grief.
