I am 27 years old opera singer who has a chance of a lifetime to work intensively with world-famous singers: Eva-Maria Westbroek and Frank van Aken.
I have been living and studying in the Netherlands for about 8 years now but I am originally from Budapest, Hungary. I came here to become a professional singer and I graduated from the royal conservatory.
Making an opera singer takes years of training, we build a voice and a repertoire and train ourselves to perform to the public in the biggest Theatres and concert halls. I have always supported myself besides my studies but during the pandemic my income of has reduced drastically and my chances to perform has perished with the lock-downs. The situation has become even more difficult because I struggled with time and my many jobs to make enough for a living and find the time to practice at least 1,5-2 hours/day to maintain my vocal condition and because I have lost all of my performing possibilities in 2020. I was exhausted from working 2-3 jobs at the same time and lost hope of getting my career off the ground.
I have finally (with the support of my great teachers and my loving family) decided to dedicate myself for training intensively for 3 months (hours every day) and I am here to ask help for this. I would like to use this time only for singing and becoming the confident person who can start her own brand as soprano in September. For this I need help from my teachers who offered me so generously to take me on that path and support me in my development and I need financial help to take this time without having to worry about paying bills and getting in to debt, being able to cover the fees of my auditions to Opera-houses or to apply to competitions and to travel to the locations.
I appreciate every little help, even if it's not in the form of financial support but a good word or encouragement, however if you could spare a few euros to help me making my dream come true I will thank you from the bottom of my heart!
