Help Vicki Lueck Beat Kidney Cancer

Please Help Vicki Beat Kidney Cancer

On September 12th 2018, Vicki went to the emergency room with a fever and severe pain in her abdomen.  Having had kidney stones before, Vicki thought the kidney stones were back.  It wasn't kidney stones - instead she learned that there was a 1" mass in her right kidney.  According to the ER doctor, a mass in the kidney has a high % of malignancy.  He armed her with referrals for both urology and oncology, along with a serious warning: stay on top of this as this type of cancer can become very aggressive, very quickly.

Two weeks later, Vicki was able to see a urologist who confirmed the kidney had to be removed.  He indicated there was a greater than 95% chance of the tumor being malignant, but prognosis was good if the kidney could be removed quickly.   The doctor recommended surgery within 1-2 weeks as the tumor was pressing against the lining of her kidney.  If it breaks through the lining, the chance of it spreading to her lymph nodes is almost certain.

If you know Vicki, you know how much she loves animals.  She has a full menagerie of pets from not only dog and cat rescues, but also pigs, goats, sheep, and a Shetland pony.  Her love of animals is so extensive that she's made a career out of it:  she grooms dogs and cats, works at a local Waco area veterinary clinic and does dog training on the side.  She even cleans the clinic to make extra income.

Vicki has a tremendous heart (always has), helping anyone whenever and however she can.

Sadly what Vicki doesn't have is medical insurance.   It's now been over 2 weeks since Vicki's first urology appointment and she still doesn't have a surgery date scheduled.  She's failed to qualify for emergency Medicaid along with other forms of assistance.  And while she's continuing to seek support, the stress of not knowing how to pay for the surgery she needs (along with any subsequent radiation/chemo treatments that may be required after the fact) has weighed on her both mentally and physically.

Would you please consider helping Vicki by making a donation toward her medical expenses?   Our goal is to ease some her stress and worry over the cost of her medical needs, and get Vicki on the path to healing and recovery.

Thank you in advance for your consideration & support.
