I‘m excited to share that I have been accepted to the Women's Campaign School at Yale University. I am beyond thrilled to have this opportunity as this is a highly vetted program that is truly a once in a lifetime experience.
This program is meant to "increase the number and influence of women in elected and appointed office in the United States and around the globe.” It is the premiere non-partisan political training program for women in the world. It draws women who are trailblazers in public life who are not afraid of a challenge. This program brings together women who influence issues, organize communities, and open the doors for others.
I applied to the program because there was a time I didn't know exactly how the city worked or how to navigate it. However, I did know this was where decisions were being made about our country and my community. Since then, I’ve now learned that anyone who holds a seat at the table of public office is part of conversations that undoubtedly create ripples of change, for better or for worse, for families across the nation. Too many times women, people of color and other marginalized communities are left out of the process.
I am so excited about being accepted to this program, but now I have less than 2 weeks to raise the funds to attend the program so I NEED YOUR HELP! Please support me as I seek to gain the skills needed to truly make an impact in our community and in our nation.
Tuition for Women’s Campaign School at Yale is $1800.00. The tuition covers the cost of the program and does not include the cost of transportation and lodging. In addition to tuition, I seek to raise funds for travel expenses, ground transportation, and hotel fees.
Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will take me a step closer to acquiring the skill set needed to make true change and build upon my experience. Help me to impact the lives of many, uplift, and empower other women, and further my career in public service.
