Tyger and I are expecting a baby, and while this news has brought us so much joy, it’s also come with unexpected challenges. It has always been my dream to welcome our child into the world with a home birth, supported by a midwife, but unfortunately our insurance won’t cover these costs. On top of that, to make this dream possible, we need to move in together, which means breaking a lease and taking on extra expenses. My first trimester has been especially difficult, and both Tyger and I are working as much as we can to make ends meet in today’s economy.

We’re reaching out because we want to give our baby the best possible start, surrounded by love and support. The funds we raise will go directly toward paying for our midwife and the costs of moving. If we’re lucky enough to have anything left over, we plan to put it into a Roth IRA for our baby, so they’ll have a more secure financial future and hopefully never face the same challenges we are right now.
