Help us to get a wheelchair accessible Car

Hey.

My name is Heiko and I'm 42 years old. I do have a wife and we have been together for 23 years.

On a day in November 2017 i suddenly felt very bad. In the Hospital i was diagnosed with kidney failure. By having only one kidney left this was not the best thing that could have happend.

Until today no one was able to tell me why this was happening but that day was the day everything changes.

So as you can assume i now do have a chronical kidney desease following by others deseases like high blood pressure. But what really hits me hard is the loss of my strength. I do have muscular cramps and joint pains, literally my whole body is in pain the whole day.

I am losing the strength in my legs so I am in need of a electric wheelchair - not a normal one because my arms are no longer strong enough to move it.

Last year we had an appointment at the Uniklinik Köln where they did an DNA testing to find out if there is an hereditary desease.

Guess what .. there is.

But unfortunatly this desease is so rare that even the doctors do not have a name for it. They told me that they have seen this kind of hereditary desease for the first time and that i should show up in a couple of years .. maybe then they could tell me whats the name of this desease.

We do own a car but it's an old one with too much money to put into to keep it running and the worst thing is .. this car is not one with an automatic transmission. So as i do not have enough strength left in my legs i can not use it anymore .. which means I am always dependent on my wife .. to get to the doctors or any other appointment.

And this is the point where you come into the game .. I do need your help to get a car which I can use on my own, which I can access with my wheelchair and be independent again.

Help me get my Independence back by helping me get money for an wheelchair accessible car.

We do need your help because of my illnesses I can not work. Even though my wife is working fulltime we will not be able to raise so much money that we can buy a car that fits my disabilities.

Please help me getting my self-determed life back so I am no longer related to the help of others getting from one place to another.
