Help us support Tamara's treatment

We have created this GoFund Me page to help my cousin and his family that is going through a difficult time as his 1 ½ year old daughter; Tamara Hernandez Perez, has recently been diagnosed with a rare and serious condition called APLASTIC ANEMIA. Aplastic anemia is a disease in which the bone marrow does not make enough blood cells for the body. The 3 types of blood cells your body needs are: red blood cells (to carry oxygen), white blood cells (to fight infection), and platelets (to control bleeding).

Now, there are quick actions that need to be taken. My cousin and his wife have to decide how to try to best help Tamara. They have been praying, researching, planning, talking to experts to make the best decision possible for their daughter, Tamara. Treatment is the only answer; which will consist of medications, blood transfusions or even a stem cell transplant (also known as bone marrow transplant). Which depending on a variety of factors, getting a transplant early in the course of the disease may offer the best route to a cure, and we hope little Tamara is one of those cases. 

As we know, these kind of treatments are not government funded nor covered by insurance, so her family must pay out of pocket. Due to the circumstances, my cousins wife has decided to quit her job to be by Tamara’s side leaving my cousin as the main source of income but also missing various days of work to be next to his daughter and wife; which has even made it harder to cover all expenses. There is no price on the life of their 1 1/2 year old daughter . God willing, there is a miracle for Tamara.

My cousin along with his wife, will go to the ends of the earth to try to save Tamara's life. You do not even have to be a parent to understand that.  

Unfortunately, time is of the outmost importance as her condition can get worse if Treatment is not started right away.

As always the most important thing is prayer. Prayers for Tamara every single day. Prayers that there is Hope and that Tamara's miracle is still possible! Prayers that if we all work together we can make this difficult process easier for them; where they can just focus and being by Tamara’s side during this difficult time and have to worry about financial expenses.
