Help Us Start Meadowlark School

Five years ago I visited an incredible school in Northern Virginia. I fell in love with their approach and switched from middle school to early childhood, to work there. The children were treated with incredible warmth and respect and they radiated vitality, joy, and creativity. My wife worked there as well, and we promised ourselves one day we would start a similar school. That day has come. We are starting a Nature Based, Reggio Emilia inspired school in Columbia Missouri! We are a small family business going for this dream, with very limited funds. Our Mission is to support learning and whole child development through creative experiences, in a rich and nurturing environment. We are dedicated to making integrated environmental education and nature connection accessible to a broad socioeconomic spectrum.  We need your help to build our vision and offer generous scholarships. Our goal is to offer significant scholarships to 30-40% of our students in the first year. We hope to reach even more young people next summer. We believe all children should have opportunities to get outside, play and explore in mud kitchens, gardens, forests, and creeks. All the money we raise will go towards providing scholarships or building a dynamic outdoor environment to get kids connected with nature. Your support would mean so much to us.
