Help us save Thor

Thor is our beautiful 2 year old German Shepherd. He is usually full of life and an amazing companion. 
As some of you are aware we had a very traumatic start to the year, losing our first baby Isabelle and now we may lose Thor. For the last month he has not been himself, he has neck and spine pain, he doesn't want to run around like he usually would and has trouble sleeping. His whimpering breaks our heart. He has undergone multiple vet procedures to try and figure out what has happened to our lively dog. His vet bills are nearing the $5000 mark and are set to double in the following weeks and that's just the bills we know so far.
Thor has been diagnosed with aspergillosis. This is an awful, opportunistic fungal infection that occurs when an organism, which does not generally cause disease infects a dog such as dust, common mould and grass clippings. In Thor's case he has the infection in his spine, neck and possibly sternum. Unfortunately for German Shepherds they are more susceptible to this infection.
The next steps for Thor are to CT his spine and neck and take biopsies of the infection. Following that he would go on medication which is set to cost $1600 a month. This medication would only prolong his life by a possible 2 years. It will not cure the infection but will hopefully improve his quality of life.
