Street Dogs Of Playa del Carmen Need You
ALL PAWS MATTER DOG RESCUE , (APM) a registered Charity with the CRA, is asking for your help.
Our sister non profit, no-kill dog shelter in Playa del Carmen, Mexico is in trouble!
Sos el Arca is our charity shelter in Mexico that saves and houses the abandoned, hurt, hungry, homeless dogs from the streets. (Click here to see more ).
The dogs stay there until we at find homes in Canada through APM.
Suddenly, in April 2019 Sos el Arca was abandoned by its main financial sponsor, in the same way dogs are abandoned and left on the streets.
At that time, there was a large amount of veterinarian services accumulated from Oct 2018 to April 2019.
Historically this sponsor had paid the vet costs for the past 4 years.
The debt was $217,533 Mexican pesos, or $17,200 Cdn, approx ( $11,500 usd approx)
It adds up quickly when there is so many lives that need saving.
Sos el Arca/All Paws Matter has no way of paying this with out the help of YOU.
Nov 2019- As an update:
Thanks to your help, the vet has been paid so now we owe only $14,000 cdn (approx+10,000 usd).
Besides having to maintain the ongoing cost of the many dogs who reside at the shelter in Mexico, we simply MUST pay this veterinarian for his work in the past.
Many of the street dogs who found shelter with us, and had life saving surgery or other medical care have been adopted by you, our supporters.
The veterinarians have graciously extended credit long enough.
Please be more generous again and give to this fund.

We pay, then we save more animals from dire condition who are on the streets without homes, without care.

All funds will go to Sos el Arca, our sister non profit association in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
In addition to the outstanding vet bill, we have ongoing monthly operational expenses that need to be covered for us to continue. Dogs need food and medical treatment, staff need to be paid, and of course all the other operation costs such as light and water have to be paid.
Our shelter in Playa del Carmen is very active in adopting out dogs from the shelter to Canada through our organization called AllPawsMatter.ca, which is a registered charity in Canada.
This year (2019) alone 138 dogs from our shelter in Mexico have found homes in Canada and USA and Belgium and of course, Mexico.
Please help us continue to save the lives of these noble, abandoned street dogs.
