Help Us Save Sergey for Birds for Sofia
Tax deductible
Please join me in making a difference for a seven-year-old boy named Sergey.
Sergey Privalov is one of a few children around the world who has ultra-rare NEMO syndrome.
The NEMO deficiency syndrome is a complex disease caused by genetic mutations in the X-linked NEMO gene (also known as IKK gamma or IKKG).
NEMO impacts the immune system. Simply put, NEMO patients do not have enough immune response to fight infections. Any virus or bacteria can be extremely harmful and lead to death. It is important to take immunoglobulin every month to remove the risk of dying.
At some point, this method of treatment stops working and a NEMO patient needs to receive a "new" immune system.

The only way to stop the progression of NEMO is to transplant bone marrow from a 100% matching donor.
This way Sergey's body will "learn" how to make his own healthy T-cells, and other cells of the immune system.

The doctors from the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital have a successful record of treating patients with NEMO in the past. The hospital invited Sergey for treatment but the price tag for his surgery, hospitalization, and rehabilitation is enormous.
It costs $1,554,888
Sergey’s family needs to raise this amount as soon as possible. Sergey's condition got worse in recent weeks.
We do not have much time.

Please, help us save Sergey. It is important to act NOW.
Do anything in your power and help us spread the message about this handsome, smart, and sweet boy.
Please help Sergey to win NEMO!
Thank you ❤️
