Help us save Allen the Bodega Cat!

Our beloved neighborhood bodega cat, Allen, was mauled by a dog on Sunday September 11. He was left in a basement to die alone until a group of community members rallied together to save him. He was rescued from the basement on Tuesday September 13 and was rushed to the vet. Allen was suffering from severe infection and dehydration but miraculously made it through the night. He has been fighting off infection but unfortunately the necrotic skin has begun to rot away, leaving him with large open wounds in his belly. Allen needs an extensive skin graft surgery to close the wounds and save his life, and the cost of that plus the medical care he has already received is estimated to be at least $7000. If any excess money is raised it will be donated to an animal rescue or the vet clinic that has helped us save Allen.
