RESTORATION PROJECT: 13 acres of lo’i & farm land

Want to join us in making a difference? We are raising money to support Laulau Solutions in a land restoration project. During the pandemic Laulau Solutions developed as a nonprofit organization with the intent to address health disparities in our communities through food. We served communities around the island with free laulau in an effort to get people in-need proper nutrition despite the difficulties during the lockdown. Through partnerships with local farmers, many volunteers, and your generous donations, we were able to provide thousands of people with free meals.

We now have an opportunity to continue what we had started by obtaining some new land. This land was once a thriving area for lo’i kalo (taro); but over the years it had overgrown in a devastating manner.

Invasive weeds and trees have taken over the property to the point where it was recently uninhabitable. This property is in great need of attention and conservation.

We intend to use the fund's contributed towards purchasing the commercial equipment and tools required to restore this space back to its full potential, and continue to serve the island with the production of our laulau.
