Help us fund our children’s TV show!

Heading towards Post Production!  Our shoot is completed, and now we are reaching for funds to complete this endeavor.  Once we hit 13k, we  will have covered our post production costs (editing, colorization, sound design and recording) Can you help us?

My name is Sarah Falkiner and I am an early childhood educator and teacher with 16 years experience in Chicago Public Schools. I've partnered with Oddbox Theater and Gold Point Studio to produce this brand new TV show concept for kids with a focus on literacy, socio-emotional learning, and sustainability. It’s called "At The Garden" and we believe it can help bridge the divide in learning accessibility presented by the problems we face today.

What makes “At The Garden” different from other children’s tv shows is that our team of educators and artists have designed a specific curriculum to address the unique issues our children are facing today.

Logline:
“At The Garden”, a diverse crew of charming puppets and engaging adults grow together as they read books, solve problems, sing songs while exploring nature and sustainability.


                                   Imagine Reading Rainbow meets Mr. Rogers with the
                                                   playfulness of Pee-Wee's Playhouse.
                               
Each episode features:
-quality book read every episode
-problem solving skills
-sustainable practices that any child can do at home.  
-engaging puppets, a crew of friendly adults and live music from our charming
   garden band!

To get this idea in front of the people with the big bucks, we need to SHOW them what it can be. A high quality production to give “At The Garden” the best shot at becoming a regular part of TV programming for children in Chicago. 

Our goal is to raise $15,000 to shoot a small sample of our show that we can use
to pitch to film studios, like Netflix and major networks, like CBS or Viacom.

The budget includes: 
-Soundstage rental
-A crew of 20+ film professionals specializing in TV production, puppet design,
  and sustainable art design
-Required technology and equipment for a two-day shoot
-Production insurance
