Help us replace our transport van

We have transported adopted pets to Colorado since 2012, we try to go each month. We have a 2004 chevy van with over 190,000 miles. Our mechanic has been trying to keep it running, but Friday July 14th, we were all loaded with adopted dogs and cats and our transmission went out again. We have spent $450 trying to fix it and it works ok for a while, but then won't shift. We cant trust it any longer to make the 12 hour drive. 

We had to delay the July 14th transport and quickly drive to OKC, 3 hours each way to get a rental. Luckily all of our adopters and volunteers in Colorado, were able to adjust their schedule. Tuesday, we will drive another 6 hours to return the van. Its hard to find rental cargo vans and they are very expensive. 

Our van is also used each week to get our animals to our main Veterinary in Missouri and every other month to Owasso Petsmart for an adoption event. (170 miles round trip)

We adopt a lot of animals in Oklahoma, Missouri and Arkansas, but the breeds of dogs that are in abundance and not so adoptable here, are wanted in Colorado. 

As you watch the attached video, these are families meeting their pets for the first time, sometimes the  dogs will run to their new owners, they know. 

MAA will not euthanize an animal because of the cost of their care, so the majority of our funds pay our medical and Veterinary bills, we simply do not have funds to replace our van. 
We try not to always ask for donations unless there is a urgent need, but when we do, you always come through.

We are asking that you support us again and please feel confident that we will use all donations towards getting reliable transportation.
