Help us replace our stolen dinosaur trailer

Hey everyone,

It's Ayla, your local dinosaur wrangler. Some of you know my husband and I from events around the island, some of you visit us at our toy shop and others of you just know us from driving by us on the road. We're local toy makers here on Maui.

We had our trailer stolen from us early in the morning Saturday 7-16-2022. We use the trailer to bring our three dinosaur Rexy (T-Rex) Plumeria (Triceratops) and Bumpy (Ankylosaurus) around the island for parties and events. We'd hoped to have it returned but we've had no luck so far. We have a plethora of upcoming events and parties that we don't want to have to cancel.

Our dinos are all each just under 10 feet long and around two feet wide. We need a trailer that will fit them all. There are trailers on the island that are that size, they run between $2,100-$2,400 and that's the cost before the modifications we need to make to hold the T-Rex safely in place and keep her from attacking surrounding traffic (Car rides can make her nervous). The rest of the funds we're asking for would cover getting it registered and marked safe for the road as well as starting those much needed safety modifications.

We know it's a lot to ask for, we wish we hadn't had to ask but we don't want to let the kids down. We are looking at used trailers as well but unless we find something comparable for cheaper we have to assume we'll be buying it new.

If our stolen trailer does come safely home to us we'll reach out to other small businesses here on island and offer to lend it to them when a trailer would come in handy. We want to keep the love we receive flowing around our little home in the ocean.
