Help us bring #9ToGo back to 4th Street

We brought #9 back during the peak of the pandemic in 2020 but in November 2021 we made the difficult decision to close our doors. The city was requiring that we restructure the kitchen and replace the hood but this was going to cost a fortune. Taking into account that this was a shared and rented location and the investment could turn our lifelong savings upside down. We are known for our fresh and make to order dishes and if we wanted to stay open at that location without remodeling we would have to pre-cook and microwave some of our dishes which would go against what we stand for. It was devastating to close so suddenly during the holidays and our busiest time of the year.

We have received emails and messages from our customers asking us when we will be back, motivating us to keep going and not give up. We have been searching for a new location and we finally found a location with a full functioning kitchen, dine in and beer & wine license on 4th street.

#9 is brought to you by a partnership of a husband and wife that share a life long dream of having a restaurant in Long Beach. We don’t want to give up on our dream, specially now that we have a 3 month old son and we are feeling even more driven to keep going no matter the obstacle. We have had moments where we said maybe we should just give it up but then we run into someone on 4th street that remembers us or we get an email or dm on instagram asking about #9 and we remember that we have something special.

We want to continue serving the long beach community our delicious food in a pleasant & welcoming environment. In this new location we can offer dine in and serve beer and wine.
