Help us remember Michelle ❤️

In her short 44 years, Michelle lived more and left more of an impact on the world than many do in their lives twice as long. If you had the good fortune of having Michelle in your life, I’m sure you’ll agree that you are better for having known her.

Michelle was warm, caring, funny and a real people person. She loved being around her friends and colleagues and loved meeting new people and making new friends. She could talk to anyone about anything and was always making people laugh with her jokes and impressions. Her favorite phone prank was “Ping Pang’s Laundry Shop” which was played out hundreds if not thousands of times, where the unsuspecting recipient of the prank was told to “peek up your sweeters at da shop, we have 2 red, 1 blue, 2 beeeeg ones and one leeeeeetle one”. Man could she nail a Chinese accent.

Michelle had a real knack for numbers her whole life. She remembered dates and birthdays of anyone she ever met. She could do crazy math in her head. If we were shopping she could calculate out loud a discount percentage plus a coupon, minus another discount plus the tax and tell you the final price to the penny. We jokingly called her Rainman for this unique skill.

Michelle achieved a lot in her short time. She graduated with her Juris Doctor from Thomas Cooley Law School in Michigan, where she served as president of the Student Bar Association. She went on to practice Construction Law and do consulting work. She worked on high profile cases like Universal City Walk. She was active in the Women In Construction group and chaired the Construction Section of the Real Property Probate & Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar Association.

Michelle had many passions in life, and her greatest was travel. She could tell you precisely the number of countries she had visited and had a plan to visit many more. She traveled with friends, colleagues, and family to places like Scotland and Iceland and all over North America. She was fearless enough to even travel solo on a transatlantic cruise, a trip to the Galapagos and a cruise to Panama. She had quite the passport.

Michelle’s other passions included golf (playing and Tiger), her Maltese Boo-Boo, entertaining (her home looked like it was straight out of Matha Stewart Living), the holidays (thanksgiving and Christmas was always at her house and everyone was invited), MAC cosmetics (her bathroom was filled with it), the Palm Restaurant (every birthday was a 3lb lobster), Perrier Jouet champagne, playing games (Boggle and Rummy) and Law and Order.

Michelle was born November 14, 1973 in Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada, grew up in Bermuda and Bloomington Indiana, and spent most of her adult life living in Orlando Florida. She passed away on September 22, 2018 at age 44.

Please help us remember Michelle through contributing to her Memorial Fund. This fund will be used to offset end of life expenses and to memorialize Michelle through donations in her name to causes near and dear to her heart.

We will always love you Michelle. ❤️
