Fundación Aguilas de los Andes is a non-profit organization that works towards the conservation of the neotropical birds of prey through education, research, and rehabilitation. Our rehab center treats almost a hundred birds of prey a year without any government support. Most of our patients are endangered species so their safety during their rehabilitation and their successful release is our top priority.
We are located in the Colombian coffee growing axis which is a humid area, and the past couple of years the rain has not given us a break. We are currently having issues with our enclosures because the wood is in rough shape. Thankfully we have not had any escapes or injuries, but if we do not tackle this problem it will eventually happen.
The wood and transportation to our center costs 4'530.000 COP (around $1500) and the man power adds up to $800. We are asking for your help collecting $2500 to cover these costs so we can continue our work of rehabilitating the endangered raptor species from Colombia!
