Our goal of $10,000, enables us to supply 25,000 healthy meals to school children during the pandemic.
We’ve partnered with DC Central Kitchen for years. Never has it felt so important.
Since 2016, we have been providing salad dressing for DC Central Kitchen to serve at DC Public Schools because we believe food is the ultimate preventative medicine.
When the pandemic first began, we reached out to DCCK and asked, "what do you need?" as we knew that with DC Public School closed, they were likely going to be serving even more meals than usual. At that point, they were serving 1000 lunches a week, and we agreed to donate salad dressing so they could do this for several weeks. Today, they are serving over twice that amount.
This crisis is going on longer than anticipated, and from a food-scarcity perspective, there is no end in sight. We want to continue to offer Dress It Up, because our dressings are both healthier (using real olive oil, 0g of sugar, and none of the gums and starches used in most salad dressing) and preferred by the children (DCCK found that vegetable consumption went UP when they started using our dressings)! While we have been able to donate dressing to date, and have benefitted from the generosity of partners like the Mid-Atlantic Food Resliancy Coalition, we are now asking for your help.

Nearly 1/3 of them are children
So often, those who are food insecure have to choose between healthy and inexpensive
Since the Covid crisis began, DC Central Kitchen has distributed over:
324,836 meals
103,780 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables
41,791 healthy snacks
It is a privilege to help them provide healthy food to communities in need across the DMV. Here’s to businesses big and small coming together to make an impact!
