The adoption process has fundamental flaws - a lack of education and preparedness of Fur Babies PRIOR adoption. Organizations are too focused on making space for more Fur Babies. This leads to neglect, abuse, and shelter returns. Potential Pet Adopters need to be educated PRIOR signing on the dotted line with rescues and shelters. At the present time, all the potential pet adopters need to do is show up at the rescues, shelters and breeders, show some kind of interest, give the shelter, rescue or breeder the fee and take the Fur Baby home.

The shelter, rescue or breeder may or may not spend any time with the adopter(s) after the papers have been signed. With the excitement of taking this Precious Fur Baby home, the adopter(s) is so excited, he or she is probably not listening.

Educating PRIOR to adoption is the key. This way people know what to expect, what kind of commitment is required (financial, physical and emotional), what to look for in nutrition and much, much more. Remember, knowledge is power! These Precious Fur Babies need your Power to protect them.

Without knowledge prior to adopting, there will be more abuse, abandonment, dumping and returns to the rescues and shelters (only not breeders as they will not take them back because almost all sales are final!)

It will take a little longer to bring a Baby home, however, the Precious Fur Baby Angel deserves your taking the time to learn how the give them the BEST Pet Parent they have earned after a lot of them have been abused, abandoned or dumped.

For anyone whose passion are the Fur Babies, let's change their future by making it so much better for their future. It starts with us giving them a voice by speaking up for them.
