Help us help Connie - an abandoned, poorly puppy

Connie came to SEDR on Monday 27th June after being taken in to a vets after being found dumped under a bush in a car park. She was very underweight, weak and dehydrated. SEDR collected her and transferred her to our vets where she has remained for the last 7 days - having intravenous fluids, a nasal feeding tube when she wasnt eating, various tests, and a lot of TLC.

Sadly on the morning of Monday the 4th July, Connies health took a serious turn for the worse - leaving us facing the option of euthanasia or referral.

We wanted to ensure we gave her every chance of survival and took her to the Royal Vet College the same day, where they immediately admitted her to their intensive care ward - which is where she is currently.

She is currently in an incubator, receiving intravenous anitbiotics as well as a plasma transplant. She has had an ultrasound and more tests to try to determine why she is so desperately ill.

The estimate for her care just at the Royal Veterinary College stands at £6000 currently.

We are a small, no-kill, voluntary run rescue that receives no funding and survives via regular or one-off donations from our supporters.

This year has seen an unprecedented amount of animals being surrendered, dumped or abandoned, and we are struggling more than ever. But we simply cannot, and will not let this girl be let down yet again by humans - and we will do anything and everything we can to save her life. And we can only do that with your support.
