Help us grow the Oak Centre
On behalf of the Oak Centre team, I would like to invite you to help us grow this important initiative in learning, education and research. We have located the Oak Centre in a central location in downtown Hamilton and are looking to expand our capacity to house a unique collection of books and online resources, as well as host special learning events online and at our facility. Over the past year, our Oak Centre Inklings Conversations held 17 highly informative sessions on a wide variety of topics. We plan to expand this program through 2023 to engage with scholars and thought leaders from around the globe to discuss matters of importance at the intersection of faith and culture.
Our vision is to serve as a resource hub and networking node for a wide variety of Christian academic ministries on a local, regional and global basis. We also see this project as part of a nascent global initiative called The Third Education Revolution, and we are dedicated to providing academic and curriculum resources for this important work. At the Oak Centre we believe in the importance of place and historical roots if we are to engage the coming generation with the best that has been thought and lived within our traditions. As T.S. Eliot has observed: "The purpose of descending to origins is that we should return with the greater spiritual knowledge of our situation."
A Prospectus for the Oak Centre 2023 development plans is available on request by contacting us at [email redacted].
Thank you again for your interest in and support of this important project.
