Support your local performing artists impacted by Covid-19
Hello everyone, we are Jeff and Marguerite, and we’re bringing back live local theater to Fort Lauderdale.
We have both worked in the Entertainment Industry for over 30 years. The majority of our work came from the Cruise Industry, which has been shut down since March 2020 due to Covid-19. A large number of our friends and colleagues have been unable to work during this time and have been severely impacted financially. What better way to help support this industry, than to create a unique program showcasing the world class entertainment talent that we have in Fort Lauderdale.
Marguerite is a seasoned performer and producer, having her own production company that specializes in Cruise Line Entertainment, creating memorable and revenue enhancing theme experiences for their guests.
Jeff is a formidable entertainer, comedian, and juggler who up until March this year was fully booked as a performer on cruise ships.
While we have managed to get by, and we’re very grateful for all we have, we know a lot less fortunate entertainers who just want to be able to bring joy and laughter to their audiences by doing what they do best - performing.
And we want to make that happen.
We’ve created a variety show ‘Scandalous Nights’ where we showcase acts such as singers, jugglers, burlesque dancers, drag queens, comedians and more. All are professional performers looking for an opportunity to perform for an appreciative audience, so they can all feel good about working again.
We are very fortunate to have partnered with a small black box theater in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale. ‘Scandalous Nights’ will follow strict safety guidelines with social distancing, operating at 50% capacity, mandatory face masks, etc.
We are looking for your support in raising funds to augment the performers compensation, help fix up the theater a little, and promote/market ticket sales (25 seats per performance down from 50 seats theater capacity)
‘Scandalous Nights’ will run three times a week (Fri, Sat and Sun , Jan 29th hopefully through to April 30th 2021 )
We all need some magical moments to lose ourselves in for a few hours – to forget about the stress and anxiety we’re all living with today.
