Help Us Get to the U.S. Open Robotics Championship

Donation protected
Asbury Elementary is a Title I school with 100% free breakfast and lunch. This year Asbury was able to obtain a grant through Auburn University to have two robotics kits. We had Team A (Roboram Wizzards) and Team B (Robo Raptors). These teams began practicing at the end of October. Both teams received outstanding awards at their first competition in January. Team A won the “Amaze Award '' for the best engineering design. Team B won the “Sportsmanship Award” and were awarded the highest award presented in the REC Foundation, the “Excellence Award.”
The “Excellence Award” immediately qualified them for the Alabama State VEX Championship located at Auburn University and for the CREATE U.S. Open Robotics Championship located in Council Bluffs, Iowa. We are astonished at how diligently they worked on their robots before, during, and after each competition. They are very persistent and never give up. They pushed through the challenges of every competition, whether it was their robot build needing to be fixed or the controller wasn’t working properly. They always showed great sportsmanship with offering to help other teams and judges during the competitions. The kids are continuously learning valuable skills throughout their experiences on this team.
Thank you so much for your donations! You will help make it possible for our robotics kids to be able to compete in the CREATE U.S. Open Robotics Championship in Iowa.
