Help Us Fulfill Rick Czerwinski’s Faithful Wish!

When 60-year-old Rick Czerwinski learned of the return of his cancer and his terminal diagnosis, he chose to decline treatment and focus on enjoying his time with his family and friends, not realizing this plan would include the T. Boone Pickens Hospice and Palliative Care Center.
Since moving to the center in January 2021, Rick has become an advocate for the T. Boone Pickens Hospice Center. He made his Faithful Wish raising $250,000 for the Center’s endowment campaign that will be matched by an anonymous donor. Rick has already raised $168,816.42 so far.
Rick wants to encourage others to openly discuss the end-of-life process and believes that deciding to use the Center’s resources sooner can drastically improve the quality of their life as well as the experience for their loved ones.
About the Faithful Wish program:
A program that grants personal requests to make dreams come true and fulfills special requests with inspirational experiences for Faith Presbyterian Hospice patients and their families. A few examples of Faithful Wishes include a retired pilot who wanted to fly one more time, a young woman with a love for all things equestrian who wanted to say goodbye to her horse in person, a patient who wanted to celebrate one last Christmas with her family. In Rick’s case, his wish is to raise $250,000 for the T. Boone Pickens Hospice Campaign. Requests are as varied as the patients’ needs differ.
About the T. Boone Pickens Hospice Endowment Campaign and Forefront Living Foundation:
The T. Boone Pickens Hospice Endowment Fund was created to ensure the continuation of compassionate, high-quality and specialized care and maintain the pristine environment of the campus. The Forefront Living Foundation’s mission is to support the ministry of Forefront Living, Presbyterian Village North and the T. Boone Pickens Hospice Center as the fundraising arm of the organization. The goal of the foundation is to raise and distribute funds that provide special programming such as children’s grief support, music and massage therapy, and specialized clinical services.
