Heavy metal poisoning is one of the most excruciating almost fatal experiences anyone can go through. Now while we can't control the sources around us to protect ourselves, the best we can do is find a way to prevent poisoning. By removing small traces of arsenic, lead, and mercury from our bodies, we prevent their accumulation and ensure the liveliness of our health. Our team, iGEM Lund, is working in synthetic biology to engineer Prodeacc which is a helpful bacteria that will aid us against removing heavy metals in the simplest of ways. All the funds provided will help us get a step closer into building this bacteria and from there, we can ensure the safety and well being of many people against heavy metal poisoning.
