Hello! Miguel and Ashley here, owners of 5AM DRIP, your Fort Worth coffee and favorite brunch spot.

 

We wanted to reach out and thank everyone for all the love and support. As we all can agree it has not been easy for any of us throughout this pandemic. Many of you have watched us grow and to be honest it has been an honor to individually meet every one of you. We have always strived to make your experience better than the last, and some times it’s easier than others.

 

As many of you know, we started our journey 5 years ago in farmers markets. We have worked tirelessly to open up our brick and mortar up to this point. We have put everything personally and financially into opening our doors on March 5, 2020 only to be faced by the pandemic…..shortly after our wholesale accounts came to a halt due to city ordinance and shut downs, which in return hurt us financially. We were fortunate to open our doors as a start up at ConnexFw - a shipping container park located in The Historic Southside near downtown Fort Worth. The complex is an outdoor office space and if you have ever visited us, you know that we are located in the heart of the building with only open bench seating which is very hard to miss. We hold two 8” x 20” shipping containers which separates the kitchen and ordering station with an additional patio area. The outdoor seating is great on certain times of the year but makes it difficult to operate when it’s hot, cold, or rainy. With only outside seating, it has been difficult to maintain consistency especially with limited seating. Throughout this period, many of you have asked if we would ever consider opening a 5AM DRIP with indoor seating and the answer to that is Yes. In fact this question gets asked frequently.

 

Initially, 5AM DRIP started as specialty coffee roasters and when we opened our doors in March, we knew that coffee would have to be secondary due to the newness of our brand and to overcome the global pandemic. With the plans to introduce food at a later time, we learned to pivot… and shifted to bring you the delicious food that you love now.

Our mission is to offer healthier food options, that are sustainable and environmentally friendly to the community. We offer everything fresh and locally sourced, to our plant based meats made in house baked fresh to order. Though, we are not fully equipped with all the bells and whistles of an ordinary cafe, we manage to make it happen.

 

In the short span, we have managed to gain a great following but still not enough to generate traction to open up a new cafe. These times have been tough and we are needing your help to offer you a better experience. Restaurants continue to be affected daily and we need the support to continue to grow.

 

During the pandemic we were able to create a successful program to be able to provide coffee and pastries to our local front liners and teachers. Up to this day, we continue to be a pillar of our community by helping others in need.

- Buy merch - All retail will be priced higher than usual to raise money for buildout and cost. Including coffee bags.
