The House of Guidance Ltd is a non-for-profit organisation founded by a group of motivated Muslims to help our community in Launceston. Our mission is to build a cohesive society and promote the unity amongst all Australians based on mutual respect and tolerance between different groups. We see our Masjid not simply as a house of worship with walls, a roof and open doors. Rather, we believe that is actually the members and believers that come together for the sake of Allah to learn and practice his words, understand his commandments and extend his gifts. Our aims are derived from the noble Islamic teaching of spreading peace, helping the needy and bringing people together.

The Masjid will facilitate the five daily prayers and Friday Sermons throughout the year. The Masjid will also be providing various types of education for children, young adults, and Muslim women. Your donations will help achieve our long lived dream of having a Masjid locally become true. 

Our members are Professor Alhossain Khalafallah, director of Special Care Australia and professor of Haematology at the university of Tasmania. Dr Muhajir Mohammed, consultant Haematologist in Launceston, Benjamin Nitschke qualified engineer and architect, Dr Rabiul assistant professor at the university of Tasmania, and Dr Mostafa Seleem consultant Gastroenterologist. 

There is no Masjid in Launceston and the nearest one is over 2 hours away. We have recently signed unconditional contract on a building that is suitable to be a community centre and Masjid. We have to raise $500000 in under 90 days. Your donations to our trust are crucial to establish our first Masjid that would serve over 500 families in Launceston. The donations will be spent in securing the purchase to pay for the remaining balance at the time of settlement. All donations will be sent to The House of Guidance account which will be the registered owner of the Masjid after settlement.
