Help us deliver medical aid to Ukraine

Hello, we are Jake, Sophia and our daughter Siena, a family from Oxford who are collecting to take medical aid to Ukraine... and a pickup truck too!

UPDATE : We reached our initial target and are now fundraising for an additional 2 vehicles! Your donations will go towards the 2nd and hopefully a 3rd vehicle, leaving from Oxford in a convoy to Ukraine in October.

This is a particularly personal cause for me (Jake). I've been working with Ukrainian software engineers for the last 18 years. They have been the most dependable and kind people I've worked with, some of whom have had to put their computers down, to join the fight for their country's future.

Ukraine has a serious shortage of medical vehicles to provide care to villagers near front lines, so we are fundraising to acquire a pickup truck, which we will drive to Ukraine on 20 August.

100% of your donation will go to purchasing the best pickup truck we can find. We'll try to get the best deal possible, preferably a Toyota Hilux or Mitsubishi L200, which are considered the most reliable and easy vehicles to maintain in Ukraine. We will cover all fuel and travel costs ourselves, ensuring that 100% of your donation goes towards acquiring a tough, reliable vehicle that will last for years.

That's not all. We're also going to fill the truck with medical aid. We've already received a large donation of medical aid DCS Group (UK) Ltd in Banbury, who have been helping obtain medical supplies since the beginning of the full scale invasion.

We'll deliver the supplies to a distribution centre in Lviv and then aim to reach Kharkiv in the east, closer to the front lines. Some of my colleagues work there in the city, having dodged a missile strike outside their office (now working from home).

The pickup truck will be donated to a group of local medics in Kharkiv, which will help them deliver medical care to civilians near the front lines. These are people unable or unwilling to leave their homes, despite the danger.

Let's show our fellow Europeans that we are still standing by their side.
