HELP US CREATE LIVE THEATER!

Donation protected
Why is this show important now?

Now more than ever we need live theater. With everything happening around us, theater brings us together. Help us create live theater by bringing the West Coast premier of Distractions at the Crash Site: Short Plays by Steve Yockey and directed by Ryan Bergmann to the stage.

During the pandemic, live theater took a tremendous hit. But, despite the isolation, we found ways to keep its magic going. As part of our theatre company's efforts to support live theater, Theatre of NOTE hosted several Zoom performances, and one of those was Steve's deliciously, funny and poignant collection of short plays. Wow! We can't express how amazing it felt to do live theater during that time! It really nourished our spirits and reminded us, yet again, the power of theater; the impact of the collective experience and so much more.

Now, as the Los Angeles theater community continues its push to return to full strength after the pandemic, we want to bring Steve's hilarious, whimsical, fantastical, and vibrant shorts to the stage at Theatre of NOTE from May 2nd thru June 1st. We want to be a part of that push!

How to support us? What are we asking for to produce the show?

We are so excited to perform this West Coast premier and to offer Steve's inspired work to audiences for a wonderful night of live theater! This is a member rental at NOTE, so we are all working hard and raising all of the funds needed to produce the show. To do so, we need to raise $17,275, so we are kindly asking for your support. No contribution is too small. Many, many thanks for your consideration!

Please kindly note that no raffles, sweepstakes, giveaways, or returns on investment are offered in exchange for any donations made to this GoFundMe.

Where’s my donation going?
