It is with the heaviest heart I write this. Today at 12:13, surrounded by love and music, this beautiful seven-year-old little girl Brooke gained her wings.

I don’t know how to put into words what Brooke and her mama, Gigi, mean to us. Our journeys crossed because of our two extraordinary kiddos, and what began as two moms connecting became a friendship I will forever be grateful for. Then there was Brooke…that little girl completely stole our hearts.

My nine-year-old son Caleb calls her “My Brookie.” For those of you who don’t know my son Caleb is 9 and he has different abilities. Connecting with people doesn’t always come easily for him. But he loved Brooke deeply. That was and will always be “His Brookie!”

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to thank Gigi and Brooke enough for the place they’ve held in my son’s heart. Gigi has spent so much of her life pouring into others.Now it’s our turn to pour into her and her family.

This GoFundMe I created is to help honor Brooke with the beautiful celebration of life she deserves and help ease some of the financial weight her family is facing as they navigate this unimaginable loss. Please share and consider donating.

If you know Brooke, you know there are simply no words big enough to describe her.

Brooke has spent her life fighting battles most people could never imagine, and somehow, through all of it, she has touched hundreds of thousands of lives. More than 640,000 people have followed her journey on TikTok watching her grow, celebrating her victories, praying during the hard days, and falling completely in love with the incredible little girl behind that beautiful smile.

After an incredibly long and difficult hospitalization in the PICU, Brooke’s family has received the news no parents should ever have to hear. Brooke has now been placed on hospice.

The hope was to bring her home, where she could spend her final days surrounded by everything familiar and everyone she loves. Unfortunately, Brooke is simply too sick and medically fragile to leave the hospital. She will remain there, comfortable and surrounded by love, until she takes her last breath.

As friends of Brooke and her family, we are creating this GoFundMe because there is nothing we can do to take away the pain they are experiencing, but we can help make sure finances are one thing they do not have to worry about right now.

The funds raised will help give Brooke the beautiful celebration of life she deserves and will allow her family to remain out of work for a period of time afterward. No parent should have to think about when they will need to clock back in while sitting beside their child on hospice or immediately after saying goodbye.

Right now, Brooke’s family deserves the ability to simply be with her. To hold her hand. To love her. To make every remaining moment about Brooke and, when the time comes, to grieve without the immediate financial pressure of returning to work.

Brooke has built an incredible community simply by being herself. She has made people laugh, inspired people, taught people about strength and unconditional love, and left a mark on more hearts than her family will probably ever fully know.
