Help Reem and Her 3 Children Have a Safe and Secure Life

Hello, my name is Reem, and I am a mother to three beautiful children: Ziad (8), Jad (6), and Zain (2).

‏We live in Gaza City. Since the start of the war, our lives have been turned upside down. Our home of nine years was bombed and completely destroyed, taking with it all our cherished memories.

Thankfully, we were not at home when it happened, as we had sought refuge at a relative's house nearby. Tragically, that house was also partially bombed a few days later. My children and I were in the basement when the upper floors were hit. The sounds of explosions, bullets tearing through walls, and debris falling around us are etched into our memories forever.

‏We were trapped in that house for over ten days, unable to leave even for basic necessities like drinking water and food. The fear of not having anything to give my children the next day was overwhelming. Then, a firebomb set the neighboring house ablaze. We watched in horror as children were tied and lowered from the fifth floor to escape the flames. The terror in my children's eyes is something I will never forget.

My husband, our children, and I have been displaced multiple times, fleeing from one area to another on foot, carrying our belongings after our car was also burned.

‏It's heartbreaking to see my children endure such trauma, hardship, and hunger. They deserve a life free from the constant threat of injury or death, and the daily struggle for basic needs. The war has not only affected their physical safety but also their mental well-being. They have been deprived of their education due to the destruction of schools and have been living in a constant state of fear and uncertainty.

‏I work as a systems and website developer for a real estate company in Ramallah, but the war and internet outages in Gaza have forced me to stop working. My husband’s job and income have also been halted. We've lost over $70,000 in assets, and now, all means of livelihood have been disrupted.

‏I am looking for ways to cross the border into Egypt, in order to save my children. travel with my family to Egypt so that I can return to my work and rebuild my life and so that my children can return to school.

‏I hope my children will never go through this difficult experience again

‏I do not want them to live under the threat of injury or death (God forbid), starvation, and the lack of the most basic necessities of life to live in safety and dignity.

The total cost for our safe evacuation is $17,500 USD (equivalent to 25,000 CAD). This covers departure facilitated by Ya Hala, an Egyptian company. It breaks down as follows:
