Help urgently needed for Wesley's medical expenses

Wesley Wilder is in continued need of your prayers. He has been in the hospital (except for a few days) since October 25, 2020. They didn’t know what was wrong with him for the first few weeks, but have since settled on the diagnosis of Wernicke’s Encephalitis. In layman's terms, it's a neurological disorder caused by a severe deficiency of thiamine (vitamin B1), which was likely caused by malnutrition due to Crone’s disease and an esophageal stricture limiting proper nutrition.After the first couple of weeks in and out of the hospital, Wes’ temp jumped to 106 and he went to sleep, his body seemed to just shut down. He was in the hospital when this happened and was moved to ICU. After a few gut-wrenching days, he finally woke with many challenges. At first, he could only stare off into the room, but he was awake! So we were overjoyed! In the days that followed, he started nodding his head yes and no. He began wiggling his toes and fingers. Again, we were so happy with these tiniest of movements (which felt like huge accomplishments!)
Progress has been very slow... this diagnosis has affected his brain. Wes can sit up on the side of the bed with 2 person assistance for about 10 minutes, other than that, he is on his back in his hospital bed. He has to be fed thru a stomach peg and a TPN port for the bulk of his nutrition. He is completely dependent on others to be dressed and bathed. He struggles with remembering things as well, sometimes forgetting names of his loved ones and where he is. He doesn't speak much, and when he does, it is typically distorted and hard to understand.
In short, Wes is completely dependent and the physicians aren’t sure how much more he will recover. We do remain hopeful and request continued prayers for his recovery; but we also ask for prayers for wisdom and strength for us as we move thru this with him. We want to make the best decisions for Wes' future and his care. The picture above was made on November 27th, 2020, the wedding date of his eldest daughter, Alexis, as he was physically unable to move, but seemed to know what was going on, when she went to the hospital before her wedding to visit with her daddy.
12/9/2020 - Wes was moved to acute care/inpatient therapy at Northport DCH to try and regain strength of limbs, cognitive functions and his speech. His insurance approved for physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy for him, but have since discontinued their approval, as he wasn't responding as quickly or as well as they thought he should. On Monday, January 11th, his insurance will stop paying for his care. His family, along with the case managers, have been trying to find a place that will accept him, but it has been difficult to find a skilled nursing facility that will accept him with a TPN. Today is January 10th, and effective tomorrow, his care will cost $400/day and that will have to be paid by his family to continue care. Wes has been unable to work for almost three months, and that alone is taking a toll on his family. We would all appreciate you lifting Wes, his wife Amy, and his two daughters, Alexis and Alesha and his family up in prayer and if you are financially able to assist, it would be so very much appreciated. We want Wes to be able to get the care he needs and we are praying for a miraculous recovery for him.
