Help Ukrainian Refugees in Suwalki, Poland

Donation protected

My name is Maria, and  I am deeply moved by the tragedy of Ukrainian families who had to leave their homes to save lives. The atrocities of war had torn families apart, destroying the hopes for peace across Europe.
My fundraiser's goal is to collect funds for Ukrainian refugees seeking safety in and around the town of Suwalki, Poland.
A small community from Zhytomyr (Ukraine) reached out to the Suwalki (Poland) Old Believers and asked them for help.  The Suwalki community is not wealthy, but their hearts are big and ready to serve any way possible.
The refugees risked their lives to escape the active warfare: they walked for hours, spent 27 hours on a train before arriving in Suwalki.  This refugee group consists of the elderly, women and children.    After safe arrival of the first families, more Ukrainians decided to take a chance and escape the crossfire and shelling.  The newly arrived refugees are from  Kharkiv and Kiev (Ukraine).   In their homeland, their houses and lives as they knew it are destroyed by the war.
We collect anything to aid the refugees taken under our wings: food, clothing, blankets, medicine and financial resources. Please consider donating as the funds collected here will help a specific group of people: refugees from Zhytomyr, Kharkiv, and Kiev (Ukraine) seeking safety in Suwalki, Poland. The funds collected here will be sent to the Old Believer Christian Church parish in Suwalki, aiding the refugees under their care.
