Tyler's Story

This is Tyler - she is my youngest daughter, an amazing young woman of God. 2 years ago, we took Tyler to the doctor for a routine visit and it was at this visit that the doctors recommended that she be given the HPV vaccine. I trusted that the doctor was giving me correct information - this is what I was taught to do - trust the doctor. Tyler was given the first of a 3 shot series on April 15, 2012 and began having severe chronic daily headache the next week. Over the summer she was hospitalized several times to help with pain, nausea & vomiting. Not realizing the cause of the headaches, we took her to have the second shot on August 15, 2012. She then began having severe neck & back pain that on occasion radiates into her arms & legs, insomnia, persistent nausea, dizziness, chronic fatigue & migraines in addition to the chronic daily headache. The doctors diagnosed her with fibromyalgia. Not knowing what caused this onset of "fibromyalgia" we took her to the doctor frequently, hospitalized her when we needed to & were completely baffled by the rapid down hill slide. We later determined that she had an adverse reaction to the vaccine that has now caused so many health issues. She has now been medically diagnosed with fibromyalgia, chronic daily headache with frequent migraine & dysmenorrhea. This is classic vaccine injury. She is a competitive gymnast who cannot do gymnastics. She is a teenager who cannot go hang out with her friends. She is a student who cannot go to classes. She is a sister who cannot help with homework. She is a daughter who cannot sit & eat dinner with the family. We have tried everything we have been presented with little or no improvement. The doctors continue to try to treat the diagnosis of fibromyalgia but the symptoms are not responding to the treatments. They continue to give her pills that cause more side effects - seems crazy to continue with the pills but we do. We have even attended a pain clinic in Cleveland to teach her how to "live with the pain". This is not what our faith says is her destiny! I lost my job when she was hospitalized one of the many times & continue to be unemployed due to frequent flare ups & doctor appointments. My husband works so hard to provide but it's not the same as having 2 incomes! She wants to get her driver's license, get her GED, hang out with her friends, go to college.....she wants to be normal again! The medical community says that she will have to live with the pain for the rest of her life & recommend that we seek alternative treatment to help ease the discomfort - which is very costly & not covered by insurance. We are praying that she will soon have her life back & we will soon have our daughter back! If you are a parent, you know how hard it is to see your child suffer - it has been 2 years since I last saw my baby be herself. I will do whatever it takes to help my child feel better but at this point, we are out of options & need help! We are now seeing a homeopath via Skype & are treating for the toxicity of the injections. The meds that they are prescribing are not covered by insurance. Thank you so much for your prayers, donations & being a part of our story!
