Help Trudi get home to Australia

Hi. I'm helping my Aussie friend who has been stuck in India since the start of the pandemic get back home to Australia. I'm asking that you also share this message on your page to bring my beautiful friend home from India.

Trudi went to India on a pre-booked tour in Nov 2019 but then, as we all know, after March 2020 the world closed.

Trudi had set out on an adventure back when the world was safe and not in this crazy state it is in now. She was to be in India for a set amount of time and had funds to cover herself well and truely for that time. No one saw what was happening next and sadly, she was one of the forgotten ones left behind in India.

She was hoping to get a repat flight home but that's like winning lotto. Now that Australia is opening for international flights in, she is hoping to be able to get one of those flights. But she needs money for those flights as she has not been able to work in India and with their very high rates of covid deaths, survival became her priority. She had been waiting for an investment to mature and be paid out to her but even that has now gone belly up with that payout being reneged on.

Trudi has recently gone down the rabbit hole into depression and hangs on day to day. She has lost 14kg in weight and suffering significant hair loss, she thinks from stress and lack of minerals in the water because of the treatment it goes through to make it drinkable.

Trudi has told me about some of the adventures she’s been on but the next big trip is to get her home and for her to be with friends and family.

I met Trudi many years ago and she has always surprised me with her resilience and her sense of adventure. She drove the big trucks in mines in Qld and outback WA.

Trudi has no family she can turn to so needs us to help her. Can you please chip in to help Trudi get home? Every little bit helps, no matter how small.
