Help Tracie Fight Cancer

She beat it once and she'll beat it again! Our mom, Tracie was recently re-diagnosed with Breast Cancer. My name is Chloe and me and my sister Payton have a goal to reach out to our friends, family, and community to raise some money to ease the stresses throughout our Moms recovery.
Tracie, a single mother of 2 was recently re-diagnosed with cancer. 2021 marked her 11th year in remission after beating it in 2010. Sadly, a lump discovery has led to her re-diagnosis. Obviously for our family it was a huge surprise. When it had been gone for this long it seemed incomprehensible that it had come back. It's heartbreaking, knowing how much my mom has been through in her life to realize that she has another long, hard fight ahead of her again.
As some of our Mom's closer friends may know, she also has very bad asthma. On the evening, of May 25th, our Mom was admitted to the hospital after close to a week long asthmatic episode. She is currently in the ICU and has been in a medically induced coma in order to strengthen her lungs and take back some control of her breathing. As much as the cancer diagnosis was a surprise, this hospitalization came completely out of nowhere. It has blindsided us because we have all been preparing to have her affairs in order for her surgery date which was originally mid-June. Due to her being in a coma, it has put a lot of pressure on us as her daughters to try and figure out her expenses, especially being at the end of the month when rent and bills are due.
Our Mom is not going to be able to work while she is recovering from her current situation in the hospital. We would like to use the donations from this GoFundMe fundraiser to help take the pressure off of her while she is recovering. She has a long and difficult fight ahead of her and the last thing we want is for her to be worried about rent and bills while she is trying to get better. We want her to be able to focus on getting healthy and strong before she prepares her body for the cancer surgery, and following that, the chemotherapy treatment.
If we have learned anything, it is that we can't fight this alone. I know that it can be a very hard thing to ask for help but if there were ever a time to ask, it would be now. We know that with the help of our friends and family and the community, we can do a really good thing and help our Mom be as secure and comfortable as possible throughout the next chapter of her life.
